DHaRCO came to Rheon Labs with a clear vision: impact protection that riders actually want to wear. As computational designer at Rheon Labs, I designed the shoulder pad inserts for the DHaRCO × RHEON mountain bike protection range.
RHEON™ is a dynamic, energy-absorbing polymer developed over 15 years at Imperial College London. Soft and flexible in normal use, it stiffens on impact to dissipate energy far beyond conventional foam — proven consistent after 10,000 impacts and validated by the NFL.
The challenge was translating that material science into geometries that perform across the full spectrum of rider movement: flexible enough to forget you're wearing it, responsive enough when it counts. The range was refined and validated by world-class riders including Amaury Pierron, Loris Vergier and Myriam Nicole.
The full CE-certified range includes knee pads, elbow pads, a vest protector and upper body armour — protection without compromise.
